Business System Analyst (all genders) - ERP/Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

THE ROLE

As a Business System Analyst in our fresh produce trading division, you sit at the intersection of business and IT with a clear focus on our core ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. You analyze, structure, and optimize business processes across purchasing, sales, logistics, and finance – translating business requirements into system solutions that keep operations running efficiently from procurement to delivery.

What You’ll Work On

Requirements & Process Analysis

• Capture, analyze, and document business requirements from purchasing, sales, logistics, controlling, and finance in the context of Business Central
• Translate business needs into functional specifications for BC configurations, extensions, and interfaces
• Map and optimize end-to-end business processes within Business Central – balancing efficiency, scalability, and data consistency

System Evolution & Project Delivery

• Drive the rollout of new BC functions, modules, and updates – including testing, acceptance, and documentation
• Work closely with internal IT teams and external implementation/support partners on customizations, releases, and projects
• Define and enforce standards and best practices across the ERP landscape

Stakeholder Collaboration & Support

• Act as the primary liaison between business departments and technical teams – ensuring requirements are understood and solutions fit real-world operations
• Provide first- and second-level support for business users on system-related issues
• Analyze and resolve process and application problems, ensuring high system and data quality

TECH STACK

What We’re Looking For

Must-have

• Degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent qualification
• Initial professional experience as a Business System Analyst, ERP Consultant, Application Manager, or comparable ERP-focused role
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – ideally including customizing, process mapping, and module experience
• Solid understanding of business processes in purchasing, sales, logistics, and finance
• Experience in structured requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management
• Analytical mindset with strong process understanding and the ability to break down complex topics clearly and solution-oriented
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with both business stakeholders and technical teams
• Good German (C1) and English (C1) language skills

Nice-to-have

• Experience with EDI message flows (ORDERS, DESADV, INVOIC)
• Familiarity with BC web services and API integrations
• Supply chain / fresh produce / logistics domain experience
• Experience with data migration or ERP rollout projects
