Job Description:

We are looking for a Cabin Stress Analysis Engineer (d/f/m) for our international Customer Services / retrofit solutions team, based in Hamburg. You will work closely with international suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive the qualification and certification process, ensuring the safe operation of our aircraft with respect to structural integrity and operational effectiveness.

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft located in Hamburg on the southern banks of the River Elbe, with optional ferry commute. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your free time.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Analyze, evaluate and validate stress‑related data for Airbus cabin equipment.
  • Define, interpret and validate cabin supplier tests, set‑ups, and perform checks and approvals of supplier stress documents.
  • Coordinate stress summaries for cabin upgrades.
  • Provide relevant input to design for the creation of manufacturing drawings and support other functions, including stress approval of drawings related to cabin conversion.
  • Ensure adherence to EU Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) airworthiness regulations concerning relevant design principles, processes, methods, and manufacturing guidelines.
  • Support integration and provide stress analysis and approval for solutions on discrepancies during embodiment of cabin at Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) on short notice.
  • Develop towards obtaining a Stress Approval Delegation.

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Mandatory experience in aircraft cabin stress calculations (e.g., seats or monuments).
  • Several years of experience in structural analysis and fatigue assessment in the aerospace industry, including stress analysis and hand calculations.
  • Knowledge in Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Technology.
  • English: Negotiation level; German: Advanced.
