As a Commercial Manager for Project Cargo, you drive the commercial growth of MPL’s project logistics portfolio in Germany. With a strong focus on Wind Energy, Heavy Machinery, Breakbulk and Heavy Lift cargo, you identify opportunities, build long‑term client relationships, and create tailored transport concepts that meet both the technical and commercial needs of our customers.

Working closely with our operations teams in Germany and across the MPL Group, you translate customer challenges into smart logistics solutions. Your proactive, structured, and results‑driven way of working ensures a strong pipeline, successful deal closures, and continuous business expansion.

You take the lead in acquiring, managing, and developing key accounts, including EPCs, OEMs, industrial clients, and project forwarders, and you act as a reliable point of contact for commercial, technical, and coordination matters. You also attend client meetings, terminal visits, project operations, and industry events to stay fully connected to the dynamics of the market.

You will be based in either our Hamburg office or our new Bremen office.

Several years of experience in Project Freight Forwarding, Heavy Lift, Breakbulk, or OOG logistics.
Understanding of the commercial and technical requirements of project cargo inside out.
A hunter mindset: proactive, driven, and always spotting new opportunities.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Fluent in English and German.
Works independently, reliable under pressure, and consistently delivers results.
Enjoys developing tailored end‑to‑end transport solutions and can turn customer needs into clear commercial proposals.
Thrives in an international environment and collaborates easily with colleagues across countries.
Has a hands‑on, can‑do attitude and takes ownership of clients, portfolio, and commercial development.
