We are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Digital Sovereignty and Compliance Interns (f/m/d) to support strategic decision‑making with analyses of regulatory obligations and political developments in a dynamic, multi-national environment.

Project scope and deliverables

  • assist in analyzing regulations and translating them into useful decision‑making input,
  • help prepare written reports and presentations on legal developments in relevant markets, and
  • support the development of a research repository capturing and organizing applicable laws and regulations.

Business impact

  • contributing to regulatory assessments that support SAP in expanding Sovereign Cloud offerings to meet customer requirements,
  • supporting strategic decision‑making: the deliverables produced will feed into internal advisory, operations and customer engagements, and
  • expanding team knowledge bases: your research on contemporary developments will contribute to the team’s living data source supporting present operations and future business.

Team environment and collaboration

  • As an SAP Digital Sovereignty and Compliance Intern (f/m/d), you will be part of SAP’s Government Security (GS2) team, reporting to and receiving guidance from a senior team member. Depending on project needs, you may collaborate with colleagues from additional SAP organizations.
  • As we are looking for two interns (f/m/d), you will work closely together with your peer, allowing for a division of tasks, review of outputs, and collaborative synthesis of findings.
  • Throughout the internship, you will receive a structured onboarding to familiarize yourself with SAP’s business and relevant internal tools to help you navigate your new role.

As a Digital Sovereignty & Compliance Intern (f/m/d), you will be exposed to SAP’s global operations and delve into national regulatory landscapes – gaining hands‑on legal experience in a fast‑moving corporate environment.
  • As SAP works with organizations in regulated industries across the globe, you will deepen your understanding of diverse regulatory obligations, offering you a broad perspective on an increasingly important field as governments worldwide tighten controls.

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who takes the initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

  • Educational requirements : You are currently pursuing your undergraduate studies in international business law, global law, comparative law, international relations or a related field.
  • Experience level : You have gained prior experience in legal research and analysis, evaluating political and regulatory decision‑making processes, and know how to navigate legal frameworks across jurisdictions.
  • Technical skills : You are skilled in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for daily tasks, with the ability to navigate and manage basic data in Excel. Being able to work with SharePoint and OneDrive is a plus.
  • Soft skills : You are curious, able to work diligently and independently, and enjoy working in international teams. You are structured, reliable and eager to learn on the go.
  • Other attributes : You demonstrate a high level of integrity, discretion and professional judgement.
  • Language requirements : English (fluent), Arabic (fluent), German proficiency is a plus.
  • Working from the Berlin office at least twice per week is required. If you are applying from outside the area, please mention your relocation plans or preferences in your CV (Relocation costs are not reimbursed by the manager/employer).
