Construction Planner

This is a flagship hyperscale data centre development in the Frankfurt market — one of Europe's most active and best-funded digital infrastructure hubs. The project is at an advanced construction phase with significant scope remaining, offering genuine long‑term engagement for the right contractor. You'll be embedded within a well‑resourced delivery team working to international standards on a high‑profile programme with a Tier 1 main contractor.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Construction Planner to take ownership of the project programme and provide planning and scheduling support to the site delivery team. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Package Managers, and subcontractors to maintain an accurate and reliable programme baseline and report against it throughout construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update the Level 3/4 construction programme using Primavera P6
• Monitor progress against baseline and produce weekly and monthly schedule reports
• Identify critical path, float, and schedule risks; provide mitigation recommendations
• Interface with subcontractor planners to integrate and validate sub‑programmes
• Support delay analysis and change management processes as required
• Attend and contribute to progress meetings with client and contractor teams
• Produce look‑ahead schedules (2‑week, 4‑week, 12‑week) for site teams
• Support the Project Controls Manager with reporting to the client.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years' planning experience on large‑scale construction or industrial projects
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential — MSP or Asta an advantage
• Background in data centre, EPC, oil & gas, pharma, or major civils/infrastructure preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multi‑package construction environment
• Strong communication skills — ability to interface with both technical and commercial stakeholders
• Fluent or working‑level English required; German language skills advantageous
• Must hold valid EU right to work — no sponsorship available on this engagement
