Consultant Works Council Communication & Employee Relations*

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a constructive, trust‑based relationship with the Works Council
• Prepare, coordinate and participate in regular Works Council meetings and ad‑hoc discussions
• Create and align documentation, presentations and communication materials for Works Council topics
• Advise HR and managers on co‑determination and employee relations matters
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements (Works Constitution Act, labor law, data protection)
• Support negotiations of works agreements and other formal arrangements
• Manage and support individual personnel measures (e.g., hiring, transfers, terminations)
• Document, track and implement agreements, decisions and action items
• Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Legal and leadership teams
• Support change initiatives, organizational development projects and HR programs from a co‑determination perspective

Requirements

• Degree in HR, law, or a related field
• Several years of HR experience, with direct Works Council interaction
• Strong knowledge of German co‑determination law and labor law
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High level of interpersonal sensitivity, diplomacy and conflict‑resolution skills
• Structured, independent and solution‑oriented working style
• Fluent German skills; good English skills are an advantage
