Consulting & Growth Intern (m/w/d)

Create climate strategies for cities across Germany and help scale Ark Climate’s growth.

As our Consulting & Growth Intern (all genders), you’ll work at the intersection of climate consulting and go-to-market execution . You’ll support municipalities on their path to climate neutrality by helping design and deliver tailored climate action plans, covering topics such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable mobility, while also contributing to Ark Climate’s commercial growth.

In parallel, you’ll help build the foundation of our sales strategy and processes: generating leads, supporting prospect conversations, and turning customer needs into strong proposals that win new projects. This role gives you hands‑on exposure to both client impact and scaling a fast‑growing climate tech startup.

• Support net-zero projects for cities: Develop and implement climate strategies (e.g., emissions reduction, energy efficiency, renewables, sustainable mobility) using data‑driven analyses and practical tools.
• Own key client interactions: Lead workshops, meetings, and stakeholder communication, becoming a trusted point of contact for municipalities and partners.
• Drive growth and sales execution: Generate leads via cold‑outreach, events & networking, support lead conversations, and help convert interest into compelling proposals and new projects.
• Digitize: Work close with our product team to develop tools which help you serve more clients, e.g., automated carbon accounting or AI‑generated final reports.

• Versatile skillset: First experience (or strong interest) in startups, consulting, strategy, operations, or sales, with the ability to adapt and learn quickly.
• Commercial mindset: Interest in B2B/municipal sales, lead generation, and building scalable processes (experience is a plus, not a must).
• Climate passion: Interest and/or knowledge in climate policy, renewable energy, or urban sustainability or a strong curiosity and the ability to learn complex topics fast.
• Analytical excellence: Highly analytical and detail‑oriented; you break down complex problems into actionable insights and data‑driven solutions. Strong with Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
• Project management & stakeholder alignment: Highly organized, able to juggle multiple responsibilities, and comfortable working with diverse stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial spirit: You thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment, embrace limited resources as an opportunity to innovate, and bring a hands‑on, proactive mindset.
• Language proficiency: Excellent German (C1 or native) and English skills. Fluency in German is critical for engaging effectively with local authorities and stakeholders.
