Design Assurance Engineer (m/f/d) DO-178 - Aerospace & Defence

What to Expect

• Review technical documentation of equipment to ensure compliance with DO‑178 standards.
• Prepare comments and feedback using defined templates.
• Participate in review meetings with customers and suppliers.
• Prepare review agendas, conduct audits and create audit reports.
• Compile the certification package of reviewed and approved documentation.
• Proofread and prepare technical notes.
• Submit weekly status reports on project progress.

What You Bring Along

• Completed degree in engineering (e.g., aerospace) or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in the aviation industry preferred.
• In‑depth knowledge and practical experience with DO‑178 for qualification and certification tasks (minimum five years of review experience).
• Structured, process‑oriented working style.
• Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving competence.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Business‑fluent English; German skills an advantage.
