JD Ross Energy are currently engaged in a search for an Electrical Engineering Lead who thrives on greenfield challenges, lives for complex renewable energy projects, and genuinely wants their work to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable world.

This is a chance to take a leading role in designing and delivering Battery Energy Storage projects that will define the future of the energy landscape across Europe. Your expertise won’t just contribute, it will change how clean power is produced, integrated, and managed.

You’ll be joining a renowned German renewable developer with a long-standing reputation in the clean energy sector. With decades of success across Europe, they’re known for:

• A robust portfolio of utility‑scale projects
• Multiple new solar and BESS sites under construction
• A rapidly expanding project pipeline

As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will guide and mentor a small team of electrical specialists, supporting their technical and professional development. You’ll also play a central role in coordinating with grid specialists, civil engineers, project developers, and EPC teams.

In addition to a formal qualification in Electrical, Power Systems, or Energy Engineering, you'll be able to demonstrate:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project development from an electrical perspective, ideally within renewable energy projects
• Strong knowledge of solar or BESS project planning, design, and execution processes
• Good technical understanding of grid interconnection and system protection technologies
• Experience leading technical teams and establishing efficient processes
• German fluency (mandatory)

Our client ideally prefers someone who can work in the office on a hybrid basis, 2–3 times per week. However, for outstanding candidates, they would consider a remote arrangement if you are willing to travel to the office on a monthly basis.
