Embedded MCU Software Developer (all genders)

You develop safety-critical embedded software at the heart of modern automotive systems, working close to the hardware on next-generation MCU platforms. In an interdisciplinary setup, you contribute to reliable, secure, and real-time capable platform software.

Your Mission

• You design, implement, and integrate low-level MCU software and platform basic software, ensuring timing, safety, and security requirements are met. Your work enables stable and testable ECU platforms used in series automotive products.

What Awaits You

• Platform Foundations: You implement and integrate low-level MCU software modules and platform BSW components, enabling essential OS, communication, and diagnostic capabilities.
• Real-Time & Performance: You develop real-time tasks and timing‑critical features, supporting performance, latency, and system behavior analyses on multicore MCUs.
• Safety & Security Built‑In: You contribute to secure boot, bootloader functionality, and cybersecurity concepts while supporting safety and security compliance activities.

What We’re Looking Forward To

• Graduated degree in computer science, electrical engineering, embedded systems, or a comparable technical field.
• Solid experience in embedded software development for automotive MCUs, ideally in safety‑relevant or low‑level environments.
• Hands‑on experience with MCU platform software, RTOS, low‑level drivers, or basic software concepts (e.g., BSW, OpenBSW/ICC1, AUTOSAR‑related setups).
• Familiarity with real‑time constraints, timing analysis, bootloaders, and embedded security concepts on microcontroller‑based systems.
• Willingness to travel occasionally depending on project needs and enjoy close collaboration with hardware, system, and verification teams.
• Confident English communication; German language skills are a plus.
