Essential Job Responsibilities

• Manage and expand network interconnections, network co-location sites and points of presence
• Manage network infrastructure and deployments to Top Secret datacenters
• Improve network performance and reliability based upon system performance metrics, including capacity planning, failure detection and remediation
• Assist in capacity augmentation and network optimization deployments
• Lead network integration and troubleshooting efforts
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and network engineers to improve the network design
• Assist in updating system configuration and firmware
• Build automation for network devices, operational and deployment tools

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 11 years relevant experience
• Active Secret Security Clearance required to start; ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI
• 2-4 years of hands‑on network engineering experience, including configuring and supporting Juniper hardware
• Proficiency in networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and OSI Layers 1-4
• Expertise with hardware/software such as Juniper routers/switches and monitoring tools
• Knowledge of virtualization and security practices (e.g., IPSec, Radius/TACACS+, 802.1x)
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools for traffic analysis, capacity planning, and performance optimization
• Experience with network security (e.g., IDS, ACLs, IPSEC tunnels) and compliance (e.g., DISA STIG Checklist)

Preferred Requirements

• Technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast‑paced environment
• Awareness of emerging technologies (e.g., SDN, cloud migration) and ability to recommend improvements
• JNCIA‑Junos, JNCIS‑ENT, JNCIP‑ENT, or JNCIE‑ENT certification

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
