TK, Coca-Cola, Axel Springer, Korian, Nürnberger Versicherung, and CSS are only some companies using Humanoo.For more information:**You care about building tech that’s smart but also human.**We’re looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the Humanoo Mobile App Squad, the cross-functional team behind the Humanoo mobile app, used by tens of thousands of employees every day to improve their wellbeing, build healthy habits, and measure their progress.You’ll lead a small but highly skilled team of iOS and Android engineers, backend developers, and QA, collaborating closely with a Product Manager, Product Designer, and AI/ML Engineer in an empowered setup.Your mission is to build, scale, and continuously improve the Humanoo app by making it fast, delightful, reliable, and infused with intelligence.You’ll own the app’s technical direction end-to-end: from architecture to delivery quality, from performance to reliability, from code health to developer growth.**Hybrid role**: 3 days per week in-office* Lead, coach, and inspire a team of engineers across mobile and backend to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure software.* Partner with Product, Design, and AI/ML to ship user-facing experiences that drive engagement, retention, and measurable wellbeing outcomes.* Own technical strategy and execution for the app: architecture decisions, code standards, CI/CD pipelines, and release reliability.* Build a culture of craftsmanship, accountability, and experimentation where engineers feel empowered to propose ideas and own outcomes.* Strengthen the team’s delivery system and velocity through better tooling, automation, and collaboration rituals.* Mentor engineers, supporting both technical excellence and career growth.* Contribute to long-term platform strategy, helping shape the next generation of Humanoo’s app architecture (AI-powered, modular, and global-ready).* Collaborate with other Engineering Managers and the Head of Engineering to raise the overall bar for engineering culture, documentation, and technical leadership across Humanoo.* 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering leadership (team lead, EM, or tech lead).* Strong technical background in mobile (iOS/Android) and backend (Java, Springboot Python, AWS).* Proven ability to lead teams through rapid iteration and scaling phases, ideally in consumer tech, SaaS, or health tech.* Experience implementing clean architecture, modular codebases, and CI/CD automation.* A track record of shipping high-quality apps with measurable user impact.* Excellent collaboration and communication skills. You thrive in cross-functional product trios and work with clarity and empathy.* A mindset of continuous improvement.
