You will be based in one of our European offices as part of our Operations Practice.

The Operations Practice helps clients solve complex operational challenges by blending strategic thinking with hands-on practicality. McKinsey’s Service Operations service line assists clients to create and execute service strategies that improve customer experience, effectiveness, and bottom-line impact across end-customer services and internal back-office operations.

Your Impact

You will play an active role in problem-solving for clients, including identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing analyses, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations. You will shape clients’ digital agendas, develop next-generation operational models, and digitally transform end-to-end journeys using advanced analytics, robotics, and agile methodologies in service-oriented industries. You will assist client teams in developing strategies and technology roadmaps for implementing processes and operating systems that support connected digital service operations.

You will also gain new skills and receive exceptional training, frequent coaching, and ongoing mentorship from colleagues and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to identify issues, form hypotheses, and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Design and conduct analyses to support client problem-solving.
• Help shape digital strategies and roadmaps for service operations and related systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement processes and operating models.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to peers and junior consultants.

Qualifications and Skills

• A master’s degree and exceptional academic performance.
• Broad experience in modern technologies (digital solutions) and robotics, preferably in banking, insurance, software, or related consulting environments.
• Proven leadership experience in work settings or extracurricular activities.
• Mobility and enthusiasm for European assignments during the work week.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in English and the local office language.
