Carbon Robotics LaserWeeder™ leverages advanced robotics, computer vision, AI/deep learning, and lasers to eliminate weeds with sub‑millimeter accuracy—without herbicides. The solution reduces environmental impact, promotes soil health, and helps farmers address labor shortages and rising costs. Designed in Seattle and built at our manufacturing facility in Richland, Washington, the LaserWeeder is setting a new standard for automated weed control. With $157 million in funding from BOND, NVentures, Anthos Capital, Fuse Venture Capital, Ignition Partners, Revolution, Sozo Ventures, and Voyager Capital, Carbon Robotics is driving innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Technical field service and direct customer support
  • Maintenance, calibration, repair, and inspection of the LaserWeeder™
  • Training operators for safe and effective use of our products
  • Diagnosis and resolution of technical problems (electrical and mechanical)
  • Close collaboration with our teams in Germany, Europe, and the USA
  • Support for product testing, demos, and implementations

Qualifications

  • Agricultural and Construction Machinery Mechatronics Engineer / Degree in Agricultural Sciences with a technical focus
  • Experience with Precision Farming technologies desirable
  • Very good technical understanding (mechanics, electrics, software)
  • Confident demeanor, even in challenging customer situations
  • Independent and solution‑oriented working style
  • Willingness to travel (75%+ during peak season)
  • Willingness to provide emergency services during the season
  • Driver’s license Class B/BE, ideally also T
  • Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Proficient use of common IT systems
