Field Service Technician - DACH region

Role

As the dedicated Field Service Technician for Formlabs, you will be the primary technical point of contact and face of our company across the DACH region and beyond. This is a role where you will be traveling 80% or more of the time.

Responsibilities

• Installation & Customer Training (On-Site): Equipment installation, travel to customer sites to unpack, install, commission, and calibrate new 3D printing systems; conduct structured on-site training sessions for new and existing customers on how to operate the machinery, utilize software, and perform basic maintenance; perform live product demos to inspire confidence and ensure the customer team is up to speed.
• Break-Fix & Maintenance (On-Site): Rapid response for downtime, on short notice to perform urgent repairs; preventative maintenance with a schedule of annual visits, servicing warrantied customers within a 90-day target; troubleshooting to diagnose electromechanical issues and achieve “single visit resolutions” to minimize travel and downtime.
• Logistics & Reporting: Visit volume, travel schedule management, and timely expense submission; documentation of installations, training, and repairs in Salesforce.

Your Profile

• Based in Frankfurt (highly preferred) or Berlin.
• Willing to travel 80%+ of the time and be on the road.
• Strong technical background (electromechanical/hardware) and the soft skills to teach others.
• Fluency in German and English; ability to explain complex technical concepts simply in both languages.
• Valid driver’s license.
