Financial Accountant - Selby Jennings

Our client is a top-tier institutional investment platform supporting major investors in building diversified portfolios. With hundreds of billions in assets under administration, the firm is expanding its finance function following continued growth and backing from a major European financial investor. They are expanding their finance team and seeking an experienced Financial Accountant based in Dusseldorf to help further professionalize and scale the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage HGB accounting across multiple entities, including international subsidiaries.
• Perform bank reconciliations, process incoming/outgoing invoices, and handle intercompany allocations.
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and support monthly and annual closings.
• Assist with annual financial statements, group reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare VAT filings and support year-end processes.

Key Requirements

• Completed commercial apprenticeship or relevant degree.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of HGB.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., DATEV, SAP); open to learning new systems.
• Fluent German (C2) and strong English skills.
• Good Excel skills, IT affinity, and a structured, reliable working style.
