At Hey Telo, we’re building voice AI for the Home Service industry. We're growing fast and looking for world-class founding engineers to join our founding team to build and scale Hey Telo across Germany.

Founding Voice Agent Engineer

In this position, you will play a key role in shaping Hey Telo’s product, technology, and culture from the ground up. If you are a builder who thrives with modern LLM techniques and voice agents, this is your opportunity to set the technical direction from day one.

What You Will Be Working On

• Collaborate closely with our customers and help them solve their problems to make their work more enjoyable
• Optimize our voice agents for reliability, accuracy, and indistinguishability from talking to a real human
• Build scalable backend infrastructure to handle thousands of phone calls per day

What We're Looking For

Technical Skills

• Expertise in modern LLM techniques (transformers, agents, RAG, fine-tuning, context engineering) and STT/TTS models
• Experience in software engineering (Python)
• Deployed voice agents using LiveKit, Vapi, Pipecat or similar to production
• You leverage AI tools that make you more productive (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.)

Language Skills

• You are fluent in German (at least C1) and thrive in talking to customers, visiting them, and putting their needs first.
