This role focuses on driving the strategic direction of specific growth areas within HyService, identifying growth opportunities, and developing go-to-market plans to enhance our market position. This requires a deep understanding of the hydropower industry, market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, with a focus on both strategic planning and business development.

Note: This position can be filled at any of our global Voith Hydro locations. The remote work policy adheres to the regulations of the specific location where you are based; this is not a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy for your growth area that aligns with the company’s long-term goals; set clear objectives and define the roadmap to achieve them.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities for your growth area. Lead negotiations and close deals with potential clients and partners.
  • Perform competitive analysis to develop strategies that leverage strengths and mitigate weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop related innovative solutions that meet evolving customer needs and differentiate the company from competitors.
  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships that can enhance related offerings, expand market reach, and strengthen the company’s competitive position.
  • Track and report on the performance of your growth area, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent; leadership experience, 2–3 years of experience in strategic business development.
  • Proven experience in strategic business development and growth management, preferably in the hydropower or renewable energy industry.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional global teams in a matrix organization; a motivational talent for future higher responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with proficiency in market research.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, combined with emotional intelligence; able to adapt roles and behavior in different situations.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, with a visionary mindset and business attitude.
