IAM Team Lead

Location: Germany – Remote

Intragen is a leader in Identity & Access Management (IAM) with teams across five European countries. We are looking for an IAM Team Lead who will combine hands-on technical delivery with responsibility for leading and developing a team of consultants.

This role suits either:

• a current team leader wanting a new challenge or deeper technical involvement or
• a senior IAM consultant ready to step into leadership.

You will continue to focus primarily on client technical work while providing structured team leadership that supports growth, alignment, and delivery excellence.

Role Overview

You will work on complex IAM and IGA projects—primarily One Identity Manager—while guiding a team of consultants in delivering high-quality outcomes. You will support professional development, ensure efficient resource use, handle team escalations, and promote best practices across the department.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery (Primary Focus)

• Deliver complex IAM solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
• Install, upgrade, configure, and customise One Identity Manager, including database, job services, workflows, permissions, and connectors.
• Troubleshoot advanced OIM issues using SQL, schema knowledge, and process debugging.
• Develop custom connectors (PowerShell, SCIM, CSV) and work with non-standard integrations as needed.
• Provide strategic IAM guidance, run workshops, and support clients in improving IAM governance and operations.

Team Leadership

• Lead a team of IAM consultants while maintaining a hands-on technical workload.
• Hold structured one-to-ones, support development plans, and provide coaching and feedback.
• Monitor and support utilisation, basic resource planning, time approvals, and task alignment.
• Collaborate with virtual team leads and specialists to ensure holistic development and knowledge sharing.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture with clear communication and role clarity.

Performance & Operational Management

• Conduct performance reviews and set measurable, aligned goals for your team.
• Manage team-level escalations, resolve conflicts, and ensure smooth project operations.
• Work closely with HR, Operations, and Resource Management on hiring, onboarding, and retention.
• Ensure adherence to delivery standards, technical best practices, and quality expectations.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years working on complex IAM solutions, including deep expertise in One Identity Manager.
• Strong knowledge of IAM concepts: SSO, MFA, RBAC, Federation.
• Experience with SQL and OIM schema for troubleshooting and configuration.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance leadership and billable work.
• Experience mentoring, guiding, or supporting consultants' development (formal leadership a plus).
• Fluent German & English language skills.

Desirable

• Experience with Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk, Workato, or other IAM platforms.
• Experience in agile delivery and sprint planning.
• Knowledge of IAM governance, compliance, and regulatory standards.
