Information Technology Network Administrator

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for on‑site end users regarding IT issues, with a focus on hardware (clients, smartphones), troubleshooting, and error analysis.
• Implement and support local IT business requirements in close collaboration with central IT (CDI) to ensure standardised processes.
• Maintain and document the local IT infrastructure, including networks, firewalls, servers, and media technology.
• Coordinate and communicate IT changes with critical operational areas, acting as a test coordinator for business‑critical updates.
• Provide support for production‑related IT systems and applications, including telephony and MES systems (CES, MIS, LMS, LIMS, and laboratory systems).
• Participate in and coordinate group‑wide IT projects and strategies (e.g., “Fix the Basics”, lifecycle initiatives).
• Manage user accounts and access rights, and document incidents in the ticketing system.
• Perform hardware replacements, upgrades, and support IT rollouts, migrations, and local projects.

Requirements

• Completed training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) or a comparable qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, networking technologies, and standard IT hardware.
• Experience in IT support, ideally in a production or on‑site environment.
• Strong customer service mindset, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Independent, structured, and solution‑oriented working style.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours.
• Fluent German and good English (spoken and written).
