As the IBSC continues to grow, we are looking for motivated accounting professionals to join our expanding Accounting team.**Join Our Accounting Team at Heidelberg Materials International BSC****Accountant****Location: Chipping Sodbury, The Ridge Hours: Full-time, 36.25 hours per week**We are looking for an Accountant who brings a high level of technical expertise and professionalism to the team. You will be fully qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA), or part‐qualified with demonstrable equivalent technical knowledge and experience. You will have strong technical accounting skills, supported by an analytical mindset and exceptional attention to detail. Confidence working with ERP systems is essential, along with the ability to apply sound judgement to complex issues. You will be proactive in identifying solutions, resolving problems, and delivering excellent service to internal stakeholders.This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to an international, service‐driven organisation where accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement are central to our success.## ## About the RoleAs a member of the Accounting team, you will support client countries with high‐quality accounting services. You will help prepare monthly management accounts, maintain balance sheet integrity, and contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes.## ## Key Responsibilities### Accounting Services* Accurately post journals and uploads into ERP systems.* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and identify potential risks.* Support quarterly forecasting and the annual budget process.* Resolve issues using sound accounting principles and professional judgement.### ### Subject Matter Expertise* Develop deep knowledge of relevant accounting standards and ERP systems.* Investigate non-standard transactions and propose effective solutions.* Deliver thorough root cause analysis and clear outcomes for issues identified.### ### Customer Service* Build trusted working relationships with local country accounting teams.* Respond to queries promptly with clear, informative resolutions.## ## Financial and Non-Financial Accountabilities* Responsible for the delivery of all accounting processes within assigned areas.## ## Education and Qualifications* Fully qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA, **or** part-qualified with demonstrable equivalent technical knowledge and experience.## ## What We’re Looking For* Strong technical accounting expertise.* An analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.* Confidence using ERP systems.* A proactive approach to problem‐solving and service delivery.At Heidelberg Materials, we don’t just offer jobs—we build careers.
