About our client

Our client is a successful German investment holding, backed by a well-known German foundation. They have a wide portfolio of industrials, industrial technology, infrastructure & engineering services and life science & pharmaceutical companies and invest with a long-term growth strategy supported by market trends and megatrends. They specifically promote small- and medium-sized companies and support their continuous and sustainable development. Currently, they are looking to add an Investment Manager to their headquarters in Essen.

What the job involves

• Working closely with the management teams of existing portfolio companies to identify opportunities for value creation and M&A
• Strategic planning of organic and inorganic growth opportunities
• M&A target identification and evaluation with a focus on German and international acquisitions
• Managing M&A processes independently
• Directly reporting to the CEO

Who we are looking for

• Successfully completed studies in business administration, finance or similar qualifications
• Several years of professional experience within an M&A boutique, bank, private equity fund, family office or transaction advisory firm
• Negotiation, process management and analytical skills
• Motivated individual, able to work in an entrepreneurial, dynamic working environment
• Fluent German & English language skills are a must
