As our Junior AI Solutions Engineer, you will work on implementing a solution concept to scale up our business according to the company targets. You will work closely with Engineering and Product to help them shape a stable production environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the creation of customer project timelines and assist in facilitating product evaluations and proof of concept (PoC) activities.
• Contribute ideas to innovative solutions that improve user experience for customers and external partners.
• Help interpret customer needs and begin translating business goals into clear, basic technical requirements with guidance from senior team members.
• Take part in the design, deployment, and basic configuration of solutions, learning to adapt and implement them to meet customer needs.
• Assist in the prompt engineering and fine-tuning of Large Language Models, gaining hands-on experience under mentorship.
• Participate in troubleshooting efforts and provide support to Aleph Alpha clients and stakeholders, with guidance from more experienced colleagues.
• Help prepare and deliver product demos or presentations, showcasing key features and functionality.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Sales, IT Support, and other teams to support a stable production environment and contribute to overall project success.

Your Profile

• Basic understanding of Machine Learning concepts and growing knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Exposure to software development projects, ideally in collaborative or academic settings, with some experience contributing to real-world or team-based environments.
• Interest in working on customer-facing or solution-focused projects, with a willingness to learn technical pre/post-sales or implementation practices that support customer success.
• Awareness of User Experience (UX) design principles and a user-centered mindset, with an eagerness to apply this in front-end or back-end solution design.
• A solution-oriented approach to problem-solving, with a proactive attitude and a strong willingness to take ownership and drive results, even in unfamiliar or challenging situations.
• Foundational understanding of IT applications and system architecture, with curiosity and motivation to learn how to build intuitive, scalable solutions.
• Passion for innovation, process improvement, and making an impact — especially in dynamic, fast-moving environments where adaptability is key.
• Fluency English is required, and preferably in German.
