Wir suchen einen Junior Bilanzbuchhalter / Junior Financial Accountant, der unser europäisches Finance-Team verstärkt. Die Position ist an unserem Standort Salzburg (Puch/Hallein) angesiedelt. Sie arbeiten eng mit den lokalen Teams aus F&E, Produktion und Finance zusammen und sind ein integraler Bestandteil des europäischen Finance-Teams in Wokingham, UK. In dieser Rolle berichten Sie an den Senior Financial Accountant und unterstützen die Finanzbuchhaltung der österreichischen und deutschen Gesellschaften, wobei die Einhaltung sowohl lokaler GAAP-Vorgaben als auch US-GAAP-Standards in gesetzlicher und Management-Rechnungslegung gewährleistet wird.
Die Position ist vor Ort in unserem Standort Puch/Hallein angesiedelt.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Unterstützung bei den monatlichen, quartalsweisen und jährlichen Management-Reporting-Zyklen in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem europäischen Finance-Team in Großbritannien sowie dem US-Corporate Team. Dies umfasst Buchungsvorgänge, Abgrenzungen, Kostenstellenprüfungen und die Bearbeitung von Anfragen unter Einhaltung enger Monatsabschlussfristen
• Mithilfe bei der Erstellung der jährlichen Jahresabschlüsse gemäß österreichischem UGB und deutschem HGB sowie Unterstützung bei korrekten Steuererklärungen für Umsatzsteuer, Körperschaftsteuer und Quellensteuer durch Bereitstellung der entsprechenden Berichte oder Berechnungen
• Beitrag zu einem starken internen Kontrollumfeld durch Durchführung von Bilanzabstimmungen, Erstellung von Standardarbeitsanweisungen, Bereitstellung von Prüfnachweisen und Unterstützung bei Audits innerhalb eines US-gesteuerten Kontrollumfeldes
• Unterstützung des europäischen Finance-Teams bei Ad-hoc-Finanzaktivitäten, um sicherzustellen, dass die Abteilung zu Schlüsselzeiten im Jahr abgedeckt ist
• Mitwirkung an einer Kultur der kontinuierlichen Verbesserung. Zusammenarbeit mit den Finance- und Business-Funktionen, um sicherzustellen, dass Prozesse reibungslos und effizient funktionieren und vollständig dokumentiert sind

Ihr Profil

• Grundlegende buchhalterische Ausbildung in Österreich und/oder Deutschland
• Erfahrung in einer vergleichbaren Position
• Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
• Hervorragende Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und Fähigkeit, unterschiedliche interne und externe Stakeholder wirkungsvoll einzubinden
• Fortgeschrittene Kenntnisse in Finanzsystemen und Excel; Erfahrung mit Oracle Financials ist von Vorteil, aber nicht zwingend erforderlich

Vergütung

Für diese Position gilt der Kollektivvertrag der Elektro- und Elektronikindustrie.
Das Mindestbruttomonatsgehalt beträgt € 3.775,27 (Vollzeitbasis). Je nach Qualifikation und Erfahrung besteht die Bereitschaft zur Überzahlung.

We are seeking a self-driven Junior Financial Accountant to join our European Finance team. Based at our Salzburg, Austria site, you will be work closely with local R&D, operations and finance team and will be an integral part of the European finance team in Wokingham, UK. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be supporting the financial accounting of the Austrian and German legal entities, ensuring compliance with both local and US GAAP across statutory and management accounting.
The role is based on-site in our Puch/ Hallein site.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

• Support the monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting cycles collaborating closely with the European Finance team in UK and the US Corporate team. This will include journal postings, accruals and prepayments, cost centre reviews and query resolution, working to a tight month end timetable
• Aid in the preparation of annual statutory accounts in accordance with Austrian GAAP (UGB) and German GAAP (HGB) and support accurate tax filings for VAT, Corporate income tax and withholding taxes by providing the appropriate reporting or calculations
• Contribute to a strong control environment by performing balance sheet reconciliations, creating standard operating procedures, providing audit evidence and support, and working within a US driven control environment
• Support the wider European Finance team in adhoc finance activities ensuring that the department has coverage at key points in the year
• Partake in a culture of continuous improvement. Working with the wider finance and business function to ensure that processes are working smoothly and efficiently and are fully documented

The essential requirements of the job include

• Basic accounting qualification for Austria and/or Germany
• Prior experience in a similar role
• Fluent in German and English
• Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Advanced proficiency in finance systems and excel. Experience with Oracle financials preferred but not essential

For this position, the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry applies; the minimum monthly gross salary is € 3,775.27 (based on full-time employment), with willingness to pay more depending on qualifications and experience
