With a strong focus on scalability, automation, and data-driven decision-making, we are looking for a hands-on Accounting Team Lead to strengthen our finance function and support our next phase of growth.

Role Overview

As Team Lead Accounting, you will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations while managing and developing a team of four. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with local and international standards, and drive process improvements in a dynamic SaaS environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a proactive, operational mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4 accounting professionals
Allocate workloads, set priorities, and ensure high performance
Foster a collaborative and continuous improvement culture
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements (HGB; IFRS experience is a plus)
Review reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet positions

SaaS-Specific Accounting

Manage revenue recognition in line with SaaS models (subscriptions, ARR, deferred revenue)
Partner with FP&A on revenue reporting and forecasting
Support audit processes and ensure audit readiness

Compliance & Controls

Ensure compliance with German GAAP (HGB), tax regulations, and internal policies
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and authorities
