Legal Counsel(Geely auto brand)

Overview

• Draft, review and negotiate various legal documents, contracts and agreements for all kinds of business operation, such as NDA, sales contract (including but not limited to dealer agreement and after-sales agreement), purchase agreement, cooperation agreement, memorandum; maintain and update contract templates/precedents to improve the contract management process constantly.
• Participate in the qualification review of potential business partner(s), including but not limited to the qualification of dealer, compliance review and etc.
• Provide legal support on regulatory compliance issues, such as trade compliance, data protection, merger filing, international sanction, anti-bribery and etc.
• Provide human resources related legal support, including but not limited to dealing with disputes with employee(s) and giving opinions on Mexican labor law.
• Select, manage and supervise external lawyers, ensuring high quality external legal support in an effective and efficient manner (including cost-efficiency).
• Perform legal analysis and provide legal advice on dispute resolution and/or quality claims, etc.
• Work closely with the operation/project team to proactively support a wide range of transactions.
• Other legal responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

1. LLB or LLM from a reputable international law school or equivalent.
2. Admission to Local market or equivalent will be a plus.
3. 3-7 years post qualification experience in corporate general and dispute resolution, preferably working experience in MNC from manufacturing industry or automotive industry.
4. Demonstrated excellent legal knowledge and business understanding for detailed and results orientated solutions, and strong communication & negotiation skills with clients, colleagues, and government officials.
5. Mature personality with proactive attitude, high integrity and self-motivation, and ability to work and judge efficiently and autonomously under pressure.
