Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: 86th Medical Group, Ramstein AB, Germany

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 0700–1630

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support in the Referral Management Center (RMC)
• Process specialty care referrals: validate eligibility, register/update patients in MHS GENESIS/DEERS, and schedule appointments within Access to Care standards
• Clarify non-TRICARE covered benefits with BCAC
• Provide pre-appointment instructions and ensure patients leave with required documentation
• Track referrals through MTF, network, and non-network providers; ensure timely return of results to referring providers
• Assist in monthly statistical report preparation and quality assurance reviews
• Deliver customer service including greeting patients, routing calls, and assisting providers with referral needs
• Maintain complete and accurate medical documentation per MTF and DHA standards
• Participate in professional meetings, training, and continuing education
• Provide immediate evaluation of emergency problems as required

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved National League of Nursing LPN program
• Active, unrestricted nursing license in a U.S. jurisdiction
• Current BLS certification
• Familiarity with TRICARE, referral management, and medical records systems
