Logistics Process Manager (Kaufering, Germany)

What's the role?

In this role, you are globally responsible for the definition and implementation of our plant logistics strategy, contributing to the achievement of Global Manufacturing strategic targets. You will interface with our key global experts and key business owners across Hilti with the objective of increasing customer experience, employee experience, efficiency & effectiveness, and compliance for our core business processes.

This position will be based in Kaufering, Germany.

What does the role involve?

You will be a key driver for overseeing and optimizing logistics management of our production network, which involves inbound logistics, inventory optimization, production flow, and warehouse and distribution management within the individual plant as well as across our global production network. You will collaborate with key peers in the organization like Business Units and Global Logistics.

By leading process communities, you will be responsible for the definition, implementation, and improvement of a state-of-the-art process management system (process, data, system, organizational structure) aimed at increasing customer experience, employee experience, efficiency & effectiveness, and compliance for business processes. You will enable efficient onboarding of new users, qualify experts through knowledge management via adequate documentation, and provide training. You will report on progress KPIs, suggest and support local improvement actions, and lead workshops with internal and, occasionally, external stakeholders (e.g., consultants, software providers).

What you need is:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• 5+ years of work experience in the field of Supply Chain Management, with wide knowledge in inventory, warehousing, demand planning, and detailed scheduling
• Excellent conceptual and analytical skills paired with strong project management knowledge
• Proven experience in process governance and documentation; defining, implementing, training, assessing, and improving
• Strong interpersonal skills to successfully perform in a global matrix across all vertical levels, with demonstrated ability in executive stakeholder management
• Fluency in spoken and written English; German is beneficial
