Position Details

Position: Machine Learning Engineer
Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $150/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: 2+ months (with potential extension)
Commitment: ~20 hours/week, flexible and asynchronous

Role Responsibilities

(Training support will be provided)

• Compile external ML competitions into realistic, challenging tasks involving model training, dataset preparation, and experimentation
• Draft detailed, executable natural language plans for completing machine learning engineering tasks
• Implement these plans in Python code within a provided Docker environment
• Validate code outputs against original plans and document any discrepancies

Requirements

• Strong years of experience in applied machine learning or a PhD in machine learning or a closely related field
• Strong Python engineering skills, particularly in model training and data handling workflows
• Familiarity with Docker-based development environments
• Detail-oriented mindset with ability to follow technical specifications precisely
• Experience in ML reproducibility, benchmarking, or experimental validation (preferred)
• Ability to work independently under compliance-aligned protocols
• Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks are not supported)
