senior commercial leadership role combining team management , strategic sales development , and hands-on customer engagement in a high-value, project‑based B2B environment.

The Sales Manager leads a team of three Bid Managers and one Sales Manager , drives sales strategy across customized technical products, and plays a key part in Business Unit management.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a highly experienced technical sales team.
  • Drive performance through clear KPIs, regular feedback, and continuous development.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and safe working environment.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business growth goals.
  • Expand capacity to manage more bids, proposals, and complex projects.
  • Participate directly in sales activities, including:
  • Build strong relationships with end customers and partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities in a competitive, project-driven market.
  • Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction through cross-team coordination.

Reporting & Internal Collaboration

  • Provide timely, accurate reporting on sales activities and project status.
  • Work closely with engineering, project management, and other departments.
  • Act as a member of the Business Unit management team, reporting to the BU Director.

Candidate Profile

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Process, or a related engineering field.
  • 5+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven sales experience with complex, customized B2B technical products .
  • Strong understanding of project‑oriented sales cycles.
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
  • Comfortable working with diverse cultures.
  • Willing to travel internationally 25–35% per year.
