Your mission

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Manufacturing & Supply Chain Specialist in our Berlin location to manage our company's procurement activities and develop robust sourcing strategies. You will ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, identify new supplier opportunities, and maintain strong vendor relationships. The work will be hands-on, requiring flexible and creative problem solving, close collaboration with the assembly and prototyping teams to achieve milestones, and maintaining high quality in our product line.

Your Roles and Responsibilities will be:

1. Hands-on Sourcing & Cost Efficiency: Actively procure materials, negotiate deals, and implement cost-saving measures.
2. Supplier & Network Management: Manage supplier relationships and build our critical supply network.
3. Inventory & Order Control: Oversee inventory, process purchase orders, and ensure seamless material flow.
4. Prototyping & Machinery Operation: Operate machinery to create prototypes and bring product designs to life.
5. Assembly & Production Support: Contribute to product assembly and support manufacturing operations.
6. Practical Data & Reporting: Maintain tracking systems and use data to identify and resolve operational issues efficiently.

Your profile

1. Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related technical field.
2. 2-4 years of hands-on experience in operations, production, or procurement roles, preferably within manufacturing, hardware, or startup environments.
3. Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and contribute to cost-reduction initiatives.
4. Practical experience with inventory management systems and purchase order processes.
5. Experience with prototyping tools or machinery (e.g., 3D printers, CNC, laser cutters, hand tools).
6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup culture, demonstrating adaptability and proactivity.
7. Strong mechanical aptitude and practical experience operating machinery and tools.
8. A self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks independently and taking initiative.
9. Collaborative mindset and willingness to support various operational aspects.
