Join to apply for the Master thesis: Simulation and design for metasurface polarization optics role at Fraunhofer IOSB .
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft ( currently operates 75 institutes and research institutions throughout Germany and is the world’s leading applied research organization. Around 32 000 employees work with an annual research budget of 3.0 billion euros.
Would you like to gain experience in a modern and professional team and learn firsthand how research and development in the field of computational imaging works? Then you've come to the right place! At the Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation IOSB, we turn the latest scientific findings into technical innovations and want to make our contribution to shaping the future.
In recent years, metasurface-based polarization optics has gained significant attention because of its breakthrough advantages in manipulating the polarization state. Metasurfaces consist of an array of two-dimensional subwavelength metallic or dielectric structures. These innovative surfaces possess the remarkable ability to manipulate light, altering its phase, intensity, and scattering angle. These abilities open up possibilities for polarization imaging in different applications.
We value and promote the diversity of our employees' skills and therefore welcome all applications – regardless of age, gender, nationality, ethnic and social origin, religion, ideology, disability, sexual orientation and identity. Severely disabled persons are given preference in the event of equal suitability. Our tasks are diverse and adaptable – for applicants with disabilities, we work together to find solutions that best promote their abilities.
With its focus on developing key technologies that are vital for the future and enabling the commercial utilization of this work by business and industry, Fraunhofer plays a central role in the innovation process. As a pioneer and catalyst for groundbreaking developments and scientific excellence, Fraunhofer helps shape society now and in the future.
Once we have received your online application, you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt. We will then get back to you as soon as possible and let you know what happens next.
