MEP Construction Manager / MEP Lead – Data Centre (Contract)

The ideal candidate will lead Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) construction delivery on a hyperscale data centre project in Frankfurt. This individual will act as the on-site MEP lead, overseeing subcontractors, managing package delivery, and ensuring works are executed in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.

The MEP Construction Manager will be responsible for coordinating mechanical and electrical installation activities, managing interfaces between systems, and supporting the delivery of a fast‑paced mission critical construction project. The role will involve working closely with project management, client representatives, and commissioning teams to drive progress and ensure successful system integration.

This role is fully site‑based and offered on a rotational contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP construction activities on site
• Manage Mechanical and Electrical subcontractors
• Coordinate installation of mechanical and electrical systems
• Oversee delivery of HVAC, piping, electrical, and associated infrastructure
• Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings and specifications
• Monitor construction progress across multiple work fronts
• Manage interfaces between mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams
• Identify and resolve technical and coordination issues
• Drive system completion and commissioning readiness
• Ensure quality standards and project requirements are met
• Support construction planning and sequencing of MEP works
• Ensure compliance with site safety and project procedures
• Report progress to project leadership and client teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
• 5–10+ years experience in MEP construction delivery roles
• Data centre or mission critical experience preferred
• Experience working on large‑scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience managing subcontractors on live construction sites
• General Contractor / GC or client‑side experience preferred
• Strong coordination and communication skills
