MES Engineer (L1 / L2 Support – Manufacturing Systems)

Role Overview

We are hiring MES Engineers to support mission‑critical manufacturing operations within a major European aerospace environment. The role involves hands‑on shopfloor support, ensuring production continuity, resolving incidents, and contributing to digital transformation initiatives in a highly structured industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1 / L2 support for MES or SAP‑based production / manufacturing systems
• Work directly on the production floor with engineering and operations teams
• Troubleshoot real‑time manufacturing incidents and system disruptions
• Support digital transformation and process optimization initiatives
• Act as the technical bridge between IT, engineering, and production operations
• Maintain documentation and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Must‑Have Requirements

• Previous experience working in a European aerospace or high‑regulated manufacturing environment
• Hands‑on MES or SAP shopfloor support experience (L1 / L2 level)
• Comfortable working fully on‑site (no remote option) in Bremen, Hamburg, or Augsburg
• Strong communication skills in German (B2 or above)
• Valid EU work eligibility / residence rights

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Experience as Business Methods Engineer, MES Specialist, or Production IT Support
• Exposure to digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0, or lean operations
• Familiarity with incident management & escalation workflows
• Basic understanding of agile or process improvement frameworks

  Bremen / Hamburg / Augsburg (On‑site only)

  Language Requirement: German B2 minimum, C1 preferred
