About the Opportunity
The Payroll Delivery Director for Dayforce Germany reports to the VP of Managed Services (MS) EMEA and plays a key role in driving Dayforce’s growth ambitions in the German market. The position focuses on four core business areas: MS Services Strategy and Management, Business Change, and Business Operations.
- This is a key leadership position within Dayforce Germany, operating within the global matrix structure of the Managed Services delivery organization.
- The role requires oversight and coordination of diverse business operations, demanding an experienced and highly effective leader.
- The Director is responsible for optimizing German Managed Services delivery practices and ensuring enterprise-level scalability to support future growth.
- Deep expertise inGerman payrolland proven experience inmanaging Managed Services delivery teamsare essential.
- The role demands exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong business acumen and professional integrity.

What You’ll Get to Do
1. Business Change
- Lead all business change initiatives impacting Dayforce Managed Services Germany, covering people, processes, systems, and financial dimensions.
- Areas of responsibility may include:
- Organizational transformation and restructuring
- Separation activities and operational readiness projects
- Office relocation and facility setup
- Outsourcing initiatives for managed services
- Deliver clear and effective communications related to business change within the EMEA region and the global MS community.
2. Business Operations – Internal
- Collaborate across functional areas to foster alignment, promote company culture, and ensure adherence to corporate policies.
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities, including financial performance and business efficiency, while maintaining a productive work environment.
- Ensure all business systems are compliant, effective, and accessible to all relevant employees.
- Coach and develop the MS leadership team to enhance engagement, performance, and accountability.
- Lead recruitment campaigns to meet growth and operational objectives.
- Manage relationships with key partners and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant European and German legal requirements, as well as global company policies.
- Develop and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans to safeguard business operations.
3. Business Operations – External / Customer-Facing
- Represent Managed Services to German and global customers, managing escalations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as part of the executive team in sales-related activities, participating in conferences and presenting the value proposition of Managed Services to prospects and clients.
- Partner with the Customer Success organization to anticipate and address customer challenges.
- Collaborate with the MS delivery organization to ensure operational excellence across key metrics including Revenue, Profitability, Product Development, Engagement, Customer Satisfaction, and Risk Management, aligning with Dayforce Germany’s annual objectives.
Skills and experience we value
- Proven expertise in strategic planning and business development
- Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in senior leadership roles within a software or SaaS environment
- Proficiency across key areas including:
- Sales support and solution design
- Implementation and customer delivery leadership
- Operational service management and customer relationship oversight
- Managing complex customer escalations
- Broad understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, and Marketing
- Working knowledge of data analysis, performance metrics, and IT/business infrastructure
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication abilities
- Recognized as a people leader and culture champion
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
