We are UKM. We have a clear social mission and, with our focus on healthcare, research, and teaching, we bear a unique responsibility. To meet our high standards every day, we are looking forward to your scientific support – ideally with you on board!
Our lab investigates the cellular and molecular mechanisms that govern endothelial cell behavior in response to mechanical stimuli. In this PhD project, we aim to understand how endothelial cells (specifically HUVECs) respond to mechanical forces by modulating their cytoskeleton, adhesion dynamics, and gene expression. Using a combination of microfluidic systems, quantitative live-cell imaging, molecular biology, and immunocytochemistry, we will dissect how cytoskeletal and signaling networks integrate environmental inputs to coordinate vascular function, remodeling, and barrier integrity.
More information about our lab can be found here.
