PhD Student (f/m/d) CT Reconstruction

Work Location

Mobile within Germany up to 60% of working hours (in consultation with manager).

Position

PhD (f/m/d) for CT Reconstruction (Computed Tomography).

Responsibilities

• Explore novel material decomposition methods using modern medical CT scanners, and advance image reconstruction in close collaboration with the professor in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
• Interact closely with the CT physics team, learning to run experiments with state‑of‑the‑art CT equipment.

Qualifications

• Hold a master’s degree in applied mathematics, physics, image processing, medical imaging, medical engineering or a comparable field.
• Have good programming skills in Python or MATLAB.
• Be familiar with Office365.
• Enjoy using mathematical methods to solve real‑world problems.
• Have experience in the field of Computed Tomography (ideal).

Attributes & Skills

• Have very good English skills; German is a plus.
• Be a communicative team player.
• Be willing to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah, USA for extended stays as necessary.
