Stellenbeschreibung:

Overview

The Leibniz Research Laboratories for Biotechnology and Artificial Organs at MHH, a basic research department of the Clinic for Cardiothoracic, Transplantation and Vascular Surgery, has been working on the development of novel therapies for heart and lung diseases since 6. The focus here is on regenerative medicine and stem cell technology. Our group “OrganoidTox” is deciphering cellular perturbation patterns upon environmental insults, including (nano)particles, climate change derivatives and infectious agents in human, population-based models. With this approach, we hope to gather meaningful insights towards inhibiting the onset of lung diseases or identify new therapeutic targets for intervention. The project involves systematic computational analyses of single-cell transcriptomic datasets informing the engineering of advanced lung organoid models. Generation of organoid-based omics-datasets beyond transcriptomics will further drive hypothesis generation and functional interrogation.
