We seek a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen (Germany), to explore mammalian brain function using functional MRI or ultrasound imaging .

The Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics conducts research that elucidates neurological processes across various organizational scales via experimental and theoretical approaches.

Our lab combines bioengineering and preclinical in vivo imaging to understand molecular signaling that underlies mammalian brain function. Joining us, you will have the opportunity to apply novel genetic tools to study molecular brain function using optical, ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging. Our interdisciplinary approach encourages researchers with different backgrounds to collaborate and develop their skills to bridge molecular, cellular and organismal levels. We seek candidates with a strong background in planning and performing preclinical fMRI or fUSI studies, including data analysis, rodent handling, surgery and behavioral experiments. Strong programming skills (e.g., Matlab, Python) are required. Additional knowledge of MR physics and sequence development are welcome.
