Role Overview

• Job Title: Project Manager
• Salary: €65,000 depending on experience
• Benefits include: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
• Employment Type: Permanent, generally 8:30-17:00 Mon to Fri for full time, open to part‑time hours of at least 24 a week
• Location: Within Germany, regular travel to Berlin and elsewhere required

As a new role for the country, due to increasing levels of work, the Project Manager will be pivotal in advancing our growth and launching and shaping new business and projects, both across Germany and internationally. You will be responsible for collaborating with key institutions across Germany to pursue new business and work on projects, solutions and other key strategic initiatives.

This role will oversee and implement reintegration projects across Germany and have a focus on Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the operational delivery of the German IRARA reintegration programmes
• Managing and communicating with senior stakeholders within our international network
• Cooperating with our German partners on a regular basis
• Ensuring consistency of service, irrespective of the Country of Delivery
• Maintaining and expanding our network in Germany
• Ensuring the IRARA team are regarded as the best in the world for the delivery of reintegration services
• Internal and external reporting
• Establishing and managing KPIs / SLAs
• Management and motivation of subcontractor partners
• Playing a role in long‑term planning, including initiatives geared towards operational excellence
• Driving project initiatives that contribute to long‑term operational excellence
• Successful and timely completion of reintegration activities
• Accurate recording of reintegration evidence
• Working within and managing strict budgets
• Travel to other countries to represent IRARA
• Any other duties as deemed appropriate for the role

Requirements

Essential

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a project management role in an international migration role or a similar, related field
• Experience of networking with a multitude of different international agencies and levels of roles as part of a job
• Resource planning, implementing, and managing standard operating procedures, budgeting, financial management, business development and process improvement

Experience

• Previous work with organisations in African nations

Skills

• Must speak German (C1) and English (C1)
• Ability to clearly communicate, both written and spoken
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to articulate information to others, including external parties
• Politically aware and alert to political sensitivities
• Excellent IT skills and attention to detail
• Goal driven self‑starter who is comfortable leading from the front

Education

• University degree in a subject relevant to the role e.g. International Development, Economics or similar
• Masters’ degree in a relevant field
