Senckenberg – Leibniz Institution for Biodiversity and Earth System Research (SGN) , headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, is seeking a Red List Assessor in the Department of Marine Zoology at the Senckenberg Research Institute and Natural History Museum Frankfurt, starting as soon as possible.
Employment : Full‑time / Part‑time (options available). Location : Frankfurt. Contract Type : Initially limited to 2 years, extension until 2031 possible. Remuneration : Collective agreement of the state Hesse (TV‑H) E10‑E12.
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species™ is the authoritative source of information on the global extinction risk of species. This role supports Red List assessments of marine invertebrate species. We seek a candidate with a passion for marine invertebrate conservation and diligent attention to detail.
By working in the SOSA project – a multidisciplinary effort with pillars Discover, Protect, and Inspire – the assessor will contribute to marine biodiversity research, species conservation, and science communication.
