Job Description Role Overview As
Regional Launch Excellence Lead , you will be instrumental in shaping and executing launch strategies across Europe. This role blends strategic project management with commercial acumen to ensure successful product introductions that meet patient needs and business objectives. You will lead cross‑functional teams, drive operational readiness, and embed launch excellence capabilities across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Launch Strategy & Planning
Lead regional launch execution in alignment with global strategy
Develop and maintain integrated launch playbooks and frameworks, standardised launch readiness approach across brands, leveraging existing best practices
Ensure early engagement with cross‑functional stakeholders (Medical, Access, Commercial, Community Engagement, Omnichannel and Training)
Project Management
Establish and manage launch readiness, milestones, and risk mitigation plans
Lead PMO activities and affiliates to ensure timely execution
Track KPIs and SLAs to monitor launch performance and readiness
Commercial Effectiveness
Translate strategic objectives into actionable commercial plans, collaborating with Business Unit directors and functional heads within affiliates
Partner with brand teams to optimise go‑to‑market strategies
Co‑create development of region‑wide operational plans, setting country‑specific KPIs and metrics
Cross‑Functional Leadership
Facilitate collaboration between global and regional teams
Ensure seamless transition from global strategy to local execution
Drive stakeholder alignment and decision‑making through structured governance
Capability Building
Embed launch/commercial excellence principles across regional teams
Identify and implement best practices from previous launches
Mentor and coach teams on launch readiness and execution excellence
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical launch planning, commercial operations, or project management.
Proven track record of leading successful product launches in complex, multi‑country environments.
Strong understanding of European healthcare systems and commercial excellence.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
Additional Information – Required Skills & Knowledge
Proven solid experience of global pre‑launch and launch activities in rare diseases and Haemophilia.
Project Management skills and result‑driven attitude.
Strong brand management experience gained in at least 5 years in global roles and/or leadership roles in marketing/commercial departments.
Knowledge of local operations and of implementation of multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
Multi‑stakeholder project management and leadership experience, delivering results on time and within budget.
Additional commercial experiences including sales, market analytics and business intelligence would be a plus.
University degree level education – medical/science based.
Experience in Life Cycle Management.
Ability to manage and coordinate external consultants and agencies.
