Your role

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Research Analyst (m/f/d) who will support our consulting team with in-depth analyses and can be developed into a consultant in the future. The hiring date is January 1, 2026.

During your internship in consulting, you will play a valuable role in connecting costdata® with our globally renowned clients. You will work with us in the automotive, energy, engineering and materials sectors, supporting our client projects through research and analysis.

Your tasks

• Independent research and analysis of market data on machines, materials, wages and production processes
• Maintenance and expansion of the costdata cost database
• Creation of comparative analyses & benchmarks for customer projects
• Collaboration on cost, product and value analyses to optimize product costs
• Support in the preparation of training courses & workshops
• Qualitative data analyses for the further development of our software solutions
• Gradual familiarization with cost engineering with the opportunity to develop into a consultant

What we expect

• Skilled worker in technology (tool technology, process engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering) / state‑certified technician specializing in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering / completed Bachelor’s degree (engineering, economics, mechanical engineering or similar) or comparable training
• Analytical thinking and interest in cost structures and data analysis
• First professional experience or internships in relevant areas (e.g. purchasing, controlling, sales, consulting)
• Confident handling of MS Excel and interest in databases
• Fluent German and good English skills, other foreign languages an advantage
• Structured and independent way of working and team spirit

What We Offer

• Starting salary 30.000€ – 40.000€
