Effect of cereal-legume mixing ratio and silage additives on the quality of Fodder Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor ) and Greenleaf Desmodium (Desmodium intortum ) mixed silage

Applications are called from suitable, qualified graduates who are willing to read and work as a Full-time Research Assistant for a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) Degree for the above research project.

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. Degree in Agriculture, Technology or relevant subject areas obtained from a recognised university at the graduate level (Specialisation and Classes will be preferable for selection).
• Subject knowledge, work experience, research and publications relevant to the proposed project will be an added qualification.

Method of Selection

Selection will be made based on the academic qualifications. Shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview if required.

• Copies of research publications (if available)

Period of Contract

The contract period for the above post is two years. The selected candidate is required to enter into an agreement with the Principal Investigator of the project for this period. If the candidate leaves before the contract period, the total value of the stipend received from the research grant must be paid back.

Monthly Stipend

A monthly stipend is available for two years. An all-inclusive amount of LKR 70,000/= per month (for a Bachelor degree with a First Class or Second Upper) will be paid based on the payment regulations of the National Research Council and Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka.
