At the Faculty of Engineering of Kiel University, Department of Materials Science, the position of a
research assistant (Post Doc)
with the aim of habilitation
is to be filled as soon as possible. The position is first for a period of 3 years. An extension of the employment contract by up to three years is possible within the framework of the regulations of the academic fixed-term contract act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz). The regular weekly working time is that of a full-time employee (currently 38.7 hours). The salary is in accordance with the German collective labour agreement for public service (Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst) salary group 14 TV-L. Skills/Qualifications
To acquire further scientific qualification (habilitation), the job holder should be able to cover a wide range of tasks in the field of magnetic material preparation and characterization. This preferentially includes the independent characterization of the magnetic microstructure through the combined use of magnetometric methods and static and dynamic domain imaging techniques.
The qualification position has a teaching obligation of 4 weekly lecture hours, for example by lecturing, exercises, or supervision of lab courses in the study programs Materials Science, Material Science and Business Administration,as well as the corresponding international study programs in Materials Science.
