At the Faculty of Psychology, Institute of Educational and Developmental Psychology, the Chair of Lifespan Developmental Neuroscience offers a position for the Centre for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop (CeTI) as a Research Associate (m/f/x) for Research room F1 - Human Sensory Perception and Action. The position is remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L, starting as soon as possible. The position is limited to three years and may include the chance to obtain further academic qualification (usually PhD / habilitation thesis).

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on psychophysical and neural mechanisms of multisensory perception and action
• Support assistants and students on a project-related basis
• Conduction of data analyses from empirical studies
• Prepare manuscripts for publications of research results
• Active collaborations with researchers from other CeTI research rooms

Requirements

• University degree (diploma/master) and, if applicable, a PhD in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, cognitive science, or a related field
• Experience in conducting experiments in perception and using EEG or fNIRS methodologies
• Ability and willingness to work independently, conceptually and scientifically in a team
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
