We are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineer who wants to make an impact in the cybersecurity space by continuing to advance, maintain, and enhance our platform features in the areas of application security testing for SAP applications, including the ability to review third-party custom code and transports, and automatic remediation for common code errors.

What you will be doing, your legacy:

Working with leadership, product management, and the Onapsis research team. You will be engaged in evaluating, scoping, proposing, and building features to fulfill business solution requirements to protect our customers. Work collaboratively with a team of cybersecurity researchers, engineers, and product managers to iterate toward product definition and realization. Additionally, you will be working with the Architecture team to take the platform to the next level of maturity in terms of technologies and architecture design while advancing our quality engineering processes to deliver high-quality products and services while also working closely with security and IT professionals to ensure safe and secure systems architectures are followed.

Requirements:

• 5+ years SAP ABAP experience with in-depth knowledge of general ABAP programming techniques , including ABAP-OO and new ABAP language constructs, BAdI, Enhancements and dialog programming
• Experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) services, including SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite, and SAP Business Application Studio
• Experience with SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration), SAP PI (Process Integration), and SAP API Management (APIM)
• Hands‑on experience with SAP BTP integration technologies (e.g., SAP Cloud Connector, SAP API Management, OData services)
• Knowledge of programming lifecycles approaches using Agile Methodology and Scrum and understanding of common programming principles
• Experience and functional expertise in integrating with middleware technologies
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks while meeting aggressive deadlines.
• Self‑motivated and team player
• Able to document implementation designs and concepts using standard tools (e.g., UML)

Desired skills or interests in:

• Experience in SAP‑specific software deployment tools like SAP TMS, SAP Solution Manager ChaRM, SAP Focused Build, or other 3rd party tools
• Expertise in Native HANA development and ABAP CDS views
• Experience in creating complex HANA views with aggregations and joins
• Experience with SAP Workflow development and troubleshooting techniques
• Security software development best practices
• SAP BTP cloud‑native application development and Cloud Technologies
• Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

Location:

The location for this role is Heidelberg. This is a hybrid role, so candidates must be commutable to Heidelberg.
