International School of Hamburg - Embark on a voyage of learning
The International School of Hamburg (ISH) is a co-educational day school enrolling approximately 8 00 students from Primary 1 (age 3) to Grade 12. The school offers a rigorous international curriculum enriched by the International Primary Curriculum in PreK-grade 5, International Early Years Programme, and the IB Middle Years Programme, IB Diploma (DP) and IB Career Related (CP) Programmes in Secondary School. ISH celebrates its role in Hamburg as the school of choice for expats and host country nationals seeking a truly international education. ISH was founded in 1957 and is the oldest international school in Germany. In 2010 the school moved to its present campus situated in a residential district in the west of Hamburg (approximately 30 minutes from the city centre). The school is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO).
Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical care to students
• Keep records in accordance with German law and regulations
• Be aware of special needs, e.g. students with health issues and/or chronic conditions
• Demonstrate familiarity with procedures in case of infectious diseases
• Communicate pertinent student health information to the leadership team, faculty and staff in a way that adheres to data privacy regulations
• Consult with the Head of Student Support Services regarding specific student needs
• Communicate with the Hamburg health authorities and share all required information with this body in a timely manner
• Liaise with other health professionals including school nurses from other international schools and share information in a context of mutual support
• Organise First Aid training courses for faculty and staff
• Provide First Aid for students and staff
• Attend child safeguarding and other staff meetings where her or his schedule permits and in accordance with relevant BV agreements
• Perform other role-relevant tasks assigned by the Head of Student Support Services
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a diploma or general nursing qualification. Fluency in English and German is required. The ability to work independently is necessary. Working experience with children from the age of 3 to 17 is advantageous, ideally in a school setting. Strong computer literacy is expected, including the ability to learn how to work with Veracross, the school information management system.

• The position is initially limited until 30 April 2028, with an option for a permanent position thereafter
• Part-time role: 2 days / 15 hours per week, joining our existing school nurse as part of a two-nurse team.
