Swan is looking for a Senior Account Executive Germany . Based in our Berlin office , you’ll be in charge of driving Swans growth engine by building and expanding deep, long‑term relationships with large customers.
You’ll own the full journey - from outbound prospecting and discovery through negotiation, closing, and expansion. You’re comfortable navigating complex deals with multiple stakeholders and staying involved until customers see value.
We need someone who’ll take entrepreneurial ownership - hunting opportunities, building relationships, and growing Swan’s presence like a founder would. You’re strategic about your territory, consultative in your approach, and energized by the opportunity to shape how we win in this market.
We need a self‑driven and curious person, willing to learn and comfortable with the technical and compliance aspects of our product. We’re also looking for a team player who will partner with our product and compliance teams (among others) to ensure our roadmap entails the main asks of our top prospects, and to constantly improve our onboarding processes.
Here is a snapshot of some of the responsibilities you will have:
Own and grow the German market end-to-end - Acquire, close, and expand strategic clients in your territory. You’re accountable for signing new large accounts and building long‑term relationships.
Build and manage your own pipeline - Proactively generate opportunities through targeted outreach (cold calling, events, networking, research, partners) and by developing a clear territory and account strategy. You’re a real hunter who doesn’t wait for leads to come to you.
Execute the full sales cycle - From initial outreach and discovery through scoping, solution design, commercial negotiation, closing, onboarding, and early expansion. You stay hands‑on throughout the journey.
Lead consultative, solution‑based sales - Deeply understand prospects’ business models, technical environments, and pain points. Work with CxOs across Commercial, Strategy, Product, and Finance to lead complex workshops, financial analyses, and multi‑year roadmap discussions.
Deliver excellent customer experiences - Ensure every prospect and client has a high‑touch, outstanding experience at every interaction, regardless of deal size or stage.
Orchestrate cross‑functional teams - Work effectively across Product, Compliance, Operations, Legal, and Partnerships to align on strategy, shape Swan’s solutions, and ensure customers are set up for long‑term success.
✨ You’re a great match if:
7+ years of sales experience , preferably selling a technical product in Fintech or SaaS, with previous experience in an international or European environment
You are experienced and love building and managing your own pipeline, you have a real hunter mindset
Passionate about startups and new technology businesses
You are self‑driven and independent
Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts and translate them into industry‑or business‑relevant terms
Proven ability to sell to large accounts : you know how to navigate complex organizations and manage long sales cycles
Strong interpersonal skills , an excellent team player, and fun to work with
Fluent in German with professional proficiency in English
