Senior Aerospace Project Manager / Program Lead (m/f/d)

As Senior Aerospace Project Manager / Program Lead (m/f/d) at ERC, your mission is to lead our core development programs from concept to delivery .

You bring structure, focus, and execution strength into a dynamic, early-stage aerospace environment. Together with the Chief Engineer , you form the program’s operational leadership, ensuring that ambitious technical goals are translated into realistic, executable plans and delivered with transparency, accountability, and impact.

You enable teams to move fast without losing control , actively manage risks and trade-offs, and provide clear, decision-ready insights to management, investors, and customers.

YOUR PROFILE

• Several years of experience in project management in the aerospace sector and knowledge of aviation development processes (unmanned and/or manned)
• Proven strength in delivery/execution : deriving robust plans from requirements and executing them consistently
• Strong understanding of system development as well as integration, test, and verification/validation
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, clear prioritization, and strong decision orientation
• Assertiveness combined with empathy: setting clear expectations, driving decisions, and fostering constructive collaboration
• A strong sense of when pragmatic solutions are sufficient and when engineering depth, evidence, and quality are critical
• Very good command of English

YOUR TASKS

• Establish and operate lean project governance : milestones, decision culture, decision logs, reporting cadence, risk & issue routines
• Work in close partnership with the Chief Engineer to translate technical priorities into executable plans, sequencing, and clear ownership
• Create and maintain integrated project plans , including dependency and critical path management
• Drive cross-functional execution and alignment across Engineering, Test & Integration, Quality, Procurement/Supply Chain, and external partners
• Ensure transparency and clarity in decisions, status, dependencies, escalation paths, and communication
• Actively manage risks, issues, and escalations , including mitigation strategies, recovery plans, and decision proposals
• Implement pragmatic change, requirements, and configuration management , applying baseline discipline where it adds value
• Contribute to investor- and customer-ready artifacts such as roadmaps, timelines, risk overviews, and progress reports
• Continuously improve project templates, tooling, and collaboration practices
• Ensure accountability in execution: represent priorities consistently, moderate goal conflicts, and drive decisions clearly, respectfully, and team-oriented
• Bring structure and momentum to phases of high dynamics , supporting teams in regaining focus and delivery rhythm
